Tax practitioners are regulated in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA) and the accompanying regulations. The Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) is responsible for the registration and regulation of tax practitioners and for ensuring their compliance with the TASA. As part of this role, the TPB maintains details of registered, suspended and deregistered tax practitioners. Refund and Complaint Process
Refunds are considered only in those rare instances where an error on our behalf is identified and we are not able to remedy or rectify this error.
In the event of any dispute or concerns regarding the service you have been provided please contact Juanita Goodlich in the first instance.
If we cannot resolve the issue or you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint or with the outcome, you may be able to escalate the matter to the TPB. Complaints to the TPB must be made in writing using its online form, which is available at

If your complaint is about fees, you may be asked to contact Consumer Affairs or the Office of Fair Trading in your State or Territory. However, the TPB may be able to assist if the fee complaint is associated with inappropriate conduct by our firm. Details about making complaints to the TPB are available at
Other prescribed events and matters to be aware of
We are required to advise if certain prescribed events have occurred within the last five years (but not before 1 July 2022).
This will enable you to make a fully informed decision on whether to
engage or re-engage Juanita Goodlich Registered Agent 25837128 to provide tax agent services.
· We advise there are currently no matters that we are required to report to you.
Rights, responsibilities and obligations
As a taxpayer using the services of a Registered Tax Agent such as JG Accounting & Business Services, it is important that you:
· Are aware of your obligations to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
· Understand your Tax Agents obligations to both the ATO and Tax Practitioners Board (TPB)
Your Obligations
· Provide JG Accounting & Business Services with complete, clear, accurate, meaningful and timely instructions
· Provide all information and documents requested by us in accordance with substantiation requirements of the Income Assessments Act 1997
· Be cooperative with all requests made by JG Accounting & Business Services including any due dates or deadlines for provision of information
· Not make or direct us to make false, incorrect or misleading statements to the ATO or another Australian Government Authority
If you do not meet your obligations:
· The ATO may impose penalties and Interest
· In some instances, criminal prosecution may be sought
· The ATO may pursue debt recovery action
Our Obligations
· Act honestly and with integrity.
· Act lawfully in your best interests and advise you of any conflicts of interest.
· Take reasonable care to ascertain your state of affairs.
· Take reasonable care to apply the tax laws correctly.
· Provide their tax agent services competently.
· Not knowingly obstruct the administration of the taxation laws.
· Advise you of your rights and obligations under the taxation laws on a timely basis and return funds due to you.
· Not make false or misleading statements to the ATO.
If we fail to meet our obligations:
· Our registration can be suspended or terminated, meaning we cannot practice;
· We could receive a caution or orders from the TPB – for example, undertaking education
· Be placed under the supervision of another registered tax practitioner;
· have fines imposed on us by the Federal Court;
· your tax and superannuation matters may not be accurate;
· you may be subject to inquiries or audits;
· any tax shortfalls may attract penalties and interest;
· you may have litigation options to review decisions and recover debts;
· in the case of fraud or criminality, penalties may lead to prosecutions.
Confidentiality, Privacy and Data Protection
We will collect personal information from you including TFNs for the management and administration of your taxation and accounting affairs. This includes details for individuals, partnerships, Trusts, Companies and Self Managed Super Funds. We will take all reasonable steps to keep confidential all information you disclose to us as part the services we are engaged to provide, except where you permit us to disclose it or where we are required to disclose it by law, by regulatory bodies, by our insurers or as part of a Australian Taxation Office (ATO) review.
Where you disclose personal information regarding a third party (including your directors and employee), you confirm that you have complied with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including that the personal information was lawfully collected, that you are entitled to disclose the personal information to us, and that we may use and disclose the personal information during the course of providing our services to you.
We will comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles when processing personal data about you.
We may contact you in a variety of ways including post, email, SMS or Telephone call. Any electronic message we send will be clearly identifiable with JG Accounting and Business Services as the sender. If you wish to opt out of any messages please contact our office.
We may use third parties (including Cloud computing providers) to perform services we are engaged to provide to You. The following is a list of third-party service providers currently used by our firm, to whom your information may be disclosed:
· Xero Accounting Software
· Drop Box
· Seamlss App
· Google Suite
· Any other software utilized by You to attend to your accounting including Quickbooks, MYOB etc
We will notify You of any change to this list from time to time.
The types of information that we may disclose to a third-party provider include the following:
· Financial Information and personal information required to produce and lodge your Annual Accounts and Tax Returns including for example TFNs, Date of Birth, Contact details, Income and Investment details
· Work papers, receipts and supporting documentation required to comply with professional obligations and record keeping practices.
